Abstract

Abstract This study focused on self-esteem and conformity in adolescents by residence. Of the several self-esteem theories conveyed by the characters, researchers used Rosenberg's self-esteem theory, while for conformity using the theory of sears (2004). The residence intended in this study is living with parents, living with other families and living in an orphanage. The approach of this research is quantitative with non-experimental comparative method via through a questionnaire distributed directly on the subject. The results showed that there were no significant self-esteem differences based on adolescent residence. There is no significant conformity difference based on adolescent residence. Thus, the results of this study conclude that there is no difference in self-esteem based on adolescent residence. And there is no difference of conformity based on adolescent residence. Keywords: Self-esteem, Conformity, Adolescents, Residence. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada self-esteem dan konformitas pada remaja berdasarkan tempat tinggal . Dari beberapa teori self-esteem yang dikemukan oleh para tokoh, peneliti menggunakan teori self-esteem dari Rosenberg, sedangkan untuk konformitas menggunakan teori dari sears (2004). Tempat tinggal yang dimaksudkan pada penelitian ini yaitu tinggal dengan orangtua, tinggal dengan keluarga lain dan tinggal di panti asuhan. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan metode komparatif non eksperimen melalui penyebaran kuisioner yang disebar secara langsung kepada subjek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan self-esteem yang signifikan berdasarkan tempat tinggal remaja. Tidak terdapat perbedaan konformitas yang signifikan berdasarkan tempat tinggal remaja. hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan self-esteem berdasarkan tempat tinggal remaja. Dan tidak terdapat perbedaan konformitas berdasarkan tempat tinggal remaja. Kata kunci: Self-Esteem, Konformitas, Remaja, Tempat Tinggal
