Abstract

Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is the Telecommunication Technology which known as wireless broadband access with high speed exchanging information. WLAN technology could be realized well, if it supported by transmission hardware that reliable in processing transmission data, including the presence of an amplifier on the transceiver device which functions as power amplifier that met the required power. In this Thesis, a filter will be designed as the part of WLAN system, that works in Indonesian’s UHF Frequency (2.4 – 2.483 GHz). Filter made in Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) model, and also adding the Complementary Split-Ring Resonator (CSRR). That method will makes the filter dimension become smaller and its bandwidth become narrower (Optimized). This Project produced a prototype of bandpass filter with appropriate spesification of cut off frequency 2380 MHz - 2470 MHz, middle frequency 2425 MHz, insertion loss 1.2 dB, return loss 8.28 dB, and bandwidth 90 MHz. This thesis to be expected could be refrence in realization method development of SIW CSRR also its learning in microwave tranfer data in the fielf. Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) adalah teknologi telekomunikasi yang merupakan teknologi akses wireless broadband berkecepatan tinggi untuk pertukaran informasi. Teknologi WLAN dapat di realisasikan dengan baik, apabila di dukung perangkat transmisi yang handal untuk proses transmisi data. Termasuk di antaranya adalah keberadaan sebuah amplifier pada perangkat transceiver, yang berfungsi sebagai penguat daya, agar daya yang dubutuhkan terpenuhi. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dirancang suatu filter sebagai bagian dari sistem WLAN, yang bekerja pada frekuensi UHF yang biasa digunakan di Indonesia, yaitu 2.4 - 2.483 GHz. Filter dibuat dalam bentuk mikrostrip dengan model Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) kemudian ditambahkan Complementary Split-Ring Resonator (CSRR). Dengan metode tersebut agar dimensi filter menjadi lebih kecil dan bandwidth-nya menjadi lebih sempit. Proyek Akhir ini menghasilkan prototype bandpass filter dengan spesifikasi yang sesuai yaitu dengan frekuensi cut off 2380 MHz - 2470 MHz, frekuensi tengah 2425 MHz, insertion loss 1.2 dB, return loss 8.28 dB, dan bandwidth sebesar 90 MHz. Diharapkan Proyek Akhir ini bisa menjadi acuan untuk realisasi pengembangan metode SIW CSRR serta pembelajaran dalam bidang transfer gelombang mikro. Kata Kunci : WLAN, Bandpass Filter, Substrate Integrated Waveguide, Complementary Split-Ring Resonator.
