Abstract

PT. Nutech Pundi Arta is a company in the automotive industry, produced product is a car interior product. Mat Luggage 350 is one of the materials used in the process of making carpet car. Invenntory control system in PT. Nutech Pundi Arta has not been implemented optimally, it shows from the amount of unstabel inventory and high order frequency. The purpose of this study is to obtain the optimal conditions of inventory control from the results of comparison Q Method, P Method and Min-Max Method by using the minimum total cost criteria. Q Method is also called Continuous Review System. If the inventory status falls to a predetermined point R, then an order of Q will always be constant. P Method is also called Period Review System is the examination of inventory stock or stock position at any constant period of time that is in period P. And Min-Max Method is when the inventory has passed the minimum limits and close to the limit of Safety Stock, then the order should be done. In this study the results of comparison of companies with Q Method, P Method and Min-Max Method using minimum total cost criteria, the company can reduce the total cost of inventory of Rp 17.550.816 or 34% savings by method Q. Then, when using the P Method, the company will spend inventory costs of Rp52.399.904 or increase by 2%. For Min-Max Method, the company will save total inventory cost of Rp10.338.574 or 20% savings from total inventory cost incurred by the company amounting to Rp51.520.968. Nutech Pundi Arta merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri otomotif, produk yang dihasilkan adalah produk interior mobil. Mat Luggage 350 merupakan salah satu material yang digunakan pada proses pembuatan karpet dasar mobil. Sistem pengendalian persediaan material Mat Luggage 350 di PT. Nutech Pundi Arta belum terlaksana secara optimal, terlihat dari jumlah persediaan yang tidak stabil dan frekuensi pemesanan yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh kondisi optimal pengendalian persediaan dari hasil perbandingan Metode Q, Metode P dan Metode Min-Max dengan menggunakan kriteria minimum total cost atau total biaya persediaan paling sedikit. Metode Q disebut juga Continuous Review System. Jika status persediaan turun sampai titik R yang ditentukan sebelumnya, maka akan dilakukan pemesanan sejumlah Q yang selalu tetap. Metode P disebut juga Period Review System adalah pemeriksaan stock persediaan atau posisi persediaan pada setiap periode waktu yang tetap yaitu pada periode P. Dan Metode Min-Max adalah apabila persediaan telah melewati batas-batas minimum dan mendekati batas Safety Stock, pemesanan harus dilakukan. Dalam penelitian ini hasil perbandingan dari perusahaan dengan Metode Q, Metode P dan Metode Min-Max menggunakan kriteria minimum total cost yaitu perusahaan dapat mengurangi total biaya persediaan sebesar Rp17.550.816 atau 34% penghematan dengan metode Q. Kemudian apabila menggunakan metode P maka perusahaan akan mengeluarkan biaya persediaan sebesar Rp52.399.904 atau naik sebesar 2%. Untuk Metode Min-Max, perusahaan akan menghemat total biaya persediaan sebesar Rp10.338.574 atau 20% penghematan dari total biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan perusahaan sebesar Rp 51.520.968.
