Abstract

This research is to find if there’s an influence between cyberbullying to social anxiety Twitter users among early adulthood at Jabodetabek. This research use quantitative approach. There’s 404 respondent on this research with the appropriate criteria aged between 20 – 30 years old, Twitter users, and lived at Jabodetabek. With purposive sampling as the sample selection technique. Cyberbullying we measured using a scale with 22 items and for Social Anxiety measured using a scale with 18 items. This research uses liniear regression to know the impact of cyberbullying towards social anxiety. The results of the research is that there’s a significant impact between cyberbullying towards social anxiety. The R Square score was 0,072 and the significant score was 0,200, it means there’s a significant influence between cyberbullying towards social anxiety. Keywords: cyberbullying, Social Anxiety, Early Adulthood, Twitter Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh cyberbullying terhadap kecemasan sosial pengguna Twitter di kalangan dewasa awal di Jabodetabek. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 404 pengguna Twitter yang memiliki kriteria yaitu berusia sekitar 20 – 30 tahun, pengguna Twitter, dan tinggal di Jabodetabek. Dengan purposive sampling sebagai teknik pengambilan sampel. Cyberbullying diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari 22 item dan untuk kecemasan sosial diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari 15 item. Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi liniear sederhana untuk mengetahui pengaruh cyberbullying terhadap kecemasan sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara cyberbullying terhadap kecemasan sosial. Dengan nilai R Square sebesar 0,072 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,200, yang berarti ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara cyberbullying terhadap kecemasan sosial.
