Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of profitability, asset structure, company size, growth opportunity, and liquidity on capital structure in manufacturing food and beverage industry sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research sample was determined by the method of purposive sampling based on the criteria of food manufacturing and beverage industries are always listed on the Stock Exchange and publish financial reports are complete and present the data includes the data of the studied variables during the study period (2012-2016), in order to obtain a sample 13 companies. This study used multiple linear regression models. The results of this study concluded Profitability (Return On Assets / ROA) have negative and significant impact on the capital structure. Structure of Assets (Fixed Assets to Total Assets / FATA) have a positive and not significant impact on capital structure. Company size (SIZE) have negative and not significant impact on capital structure. Growth Opportunity (MVEBVE) have positive and significant impact on the capital structure. Liquidity (CR) have negative and significant impact on the capital structure. Keywords : capital structure, profitability, fixed assets to total assets, company size, growth opportunity, liquidity Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas, struktur aktiva, ukuran perusahaan, kesempatan bertumbuh, dan likuiditas terhadap struktur modal pada perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria industri manufaktur makanan dan minuman yang selalu terdaftar di Bursa Efek dan mempublikasikan laporan keuangan yang lengkap dan menyajikan data termasuk data variabel yang diteliti selama masa studi (2012-2016), sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 13 perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan Profitabilitas (Return On Assets / ROA) memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Struktur Aktiva (Aktiva Tetap terhadap Total Aset / FATA) memiliki dampak positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Ukuran perusahaan (SIZE) memiliki pengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Growth Opportunity (MVEBVE) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal.
