Abstract

Communication is a special process and useful process in human relationship. Communication is complex process which involves behavior and possible for individual to makes relationship with the other. As a discipline of science, communication is interdisciplinary studies. According to Astrid S. Susanto, communication studies is like intersecting street. A lot of science across it, for example psychology, anthropology, linguistic, sociology, etc. In psychology especially psychotherapy is recognized healing technique which is called Therapeutic Communication. In this method, patient as communican is directed in such a way that there is a message exchange which makes meaningful social relationship. In this research, writer try to know how therapeutic communication activities that nurse do in healing process in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic RSCM Kencana Jakarta. As a government hospital, RSCM Kencana Jakarta has gotten many awards and applied therapeutic communication to their patient. This is descriptive qualitative research, which data collected uses nonparticipant observation technique, in depth interview, and book study. The informant is chosen based on purposive sampling. Writer uses Miles dan Huberman interaction model to make data analysis, and uses source triangulation to examine data validity. Result which is earned show that therapeutic communication which is applied in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic RSCM Kencana Jakarta has four phase, there are pre interaction phase, action phase, evaluation phase, and termination phase. Doing therapeutic communication with their patient, the nurses use certain techniques and attitudes. Relationship between nurse and patient is the most important thing in therapeutic communication. By relationship between nurse and patient which is built favourably, nurse and patient cooperate to achieve purpose. Salah satu kebutuhan manusia yang paling mendasar baik fisik maupun psikis adalah kesehatan. Menurut Astrid S. Susanto, ilmu komunikasi diibaratkan seperti perempatan jalan. Banyak ilmu yang melintasnya, diantaranya psikologi, antropologi, ilmu bahasa sosiologi dan sebagainya. Dalam dunia psikologi khususnya psikoterapi dikenal suatu teknik penyembuhan yang disebut Komunikasi Terapeutik (Therapeutic Communication). Dengan metode ini pasien sebagai komunikan diarahkan begitu rupa sehingga terjadi pertukaran pesan yang dapat menimbulkan hubungan sosial yang bermanfaat. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis berusaha mengetahui bagaimanakah aktivitas komunikasi terapeutik para perawat dalam proses penyembuhan pasien di Klinik Psikiatri Anak dan Remaja RSCM Kencana Jakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripsi kualitatif, yang pengumpulan datanya menggunakan teknik observasi nonpartisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan studi pustaka. Informan dipilih berdasarkan purposive sampling. Analisis data yang diperoleh menggunakan model interaksi Miles dan Huberman, dan keabsahan data itu sendiri diuji menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi terapeutik yang diterapkan Klinik Psikiatri Anak dan Remaja RSCM Kencana Jakarta terdiri dari empat fase/ tahap, yaitu fase pra interaksi, fase orientasi, fase kerja, dan fase terminasi. Dalam melakukan komunikasi terapeutik dengan pasien, para perawat menggunakan teknik-teknik dan sikap tertentu. Jalinan hubungan antara perawat dengan pasien merupakan hal penting dalam komunikasi terapeutik. Melalui jalinan hubungan perawat dan pasien yang terbina dengan baik, perawat dan pasien bekerja sama untuk mencapai tujuan. Tujuan komunikasi terapeutik tersebut antara lain: membantu pasien dalam memperjelas dan mengurangi beban perasaan dan pikiran, serta dapat mengambil tindakan yang efektif untuk pasien
