Abstract

Network availability becomes a main thing to note, information techniques was changed quickly and required accurately so it need a network connection stability. therefore, made various methods that aim to know the best path to a network and minimize the interruption of connections between points so it can create a minimal down time. The One way is using radio microwave transmission media and using Dual Polarization method on radio microwave networking. Subjects in this research are focused on Dual Polarization design on Radio Microwave network using Link Aggregation Group method. Polarization Design in this radio microwave networks ranging from determining of Radio Microwave network topology design. In this case Radio Polarization Vertical and Radio Volarisasi Both of them as master links. In Dual Polarization Configuration, the second position of Radio is active (active-active). So every Radio has function as master in one Link for every Data packet that passing through the radio microwave network, and will be radio backup if the one of radio was failed. Based on the test in this research, it can be conclude that the high availability of network services it can make the connection run continuously although any connection links that does not work. Keywords: : Availability, Dual Polarization, LAG, Radio Microwave Ketersediaan suatu jaringan menjadi hal utama yang perlu diperhatikan, teknik pertukaran informasi secara cepat dan akurat dibutuhkan suatu kestabilan koneksi jaringan yang baik. Oleh karena itu, dibuat berbagai metode yang bertujuan mengetahui jalur terbaik menuju ke sebuah jaringan dan meminimalisir terputusnya koneksi antar titik sehingga tercipta down time yang minimal. Salah satu caranya dengan mengunakan media transmisi radio microwave dan dengan menerapkan metode Dual Polarization pada jaringan radio microwave. Subyek yang diambil dalam penelitian ini fokus terhadap perancangan Dual Polarization pada jaringan Radio Microwave dengan menggunakan metode Link Aggregation Group. Perancangan Dual Polarization di jaringan radio microwave dimulai dari menentukan desain topologi jaringan Radio Microwave yang digunakan. dalam hal ini Radio Polarization Vertical dan Radio Volarization Horizontal kedua Radio sebagai master link. Dalam konfigurasi Dual Polarization posisi kedua Radio dalam kondisi (active-active), sehingga masing-masing Radio berfungsi sebagai master didalam satu Link untuk setiap Paket data yang melewati jaringan radio microwave tersebut, dan akan menjadi Radio backup jika salah satu Radio mengalami kegagalan. Berdasarkan pengujian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketersediaan layanan jaringan yang tinggi dapat membuat koneksi berjalan secara terus menerus walaupun terdapat link koneksi yang tidak berfungsi.
