Abstract

ABSTRACT Efforts to meet the needs of early childhood learning in the first-class school classroom are essential to do. With the evaluation in the classroom arrangement is different from before and adjust to the needs of early childhood learning to make teaching and learning activities more qualified. Therefore, the ideal classroom should pay attention to the layout that can affect teaching and learning activities. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the classroom layout in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah by observing the learning behavior of children of early age who enter the level of early school education. This study uses a combined method, that is quantitative with the measurement and comparison between applicable standards with existing in the field and qualitative by conducting observations and interviews. From the analysis it can be concluded that there are several things that must be considered in the classroom arrangement for early childhood in school which includes classroom layout, furniture layout, classroom standard, classroom furniture standard, and early childhood learning behavior at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Huda Kota Tangerang. The most dominant element in forming a good classroom layout for early childhood is the classroom layout and layout of the furniture in the classroom. Keywords: Classroom Spatial, Behavior, Early Childhood, School ABSTRAK Upaya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan belajar anak usia dini di ruang kelas sekolah tahap pertama merupakan hal yang peting untuk dilakukan. Dengan adanya evaluasi dalam penataan ruang kelas yang berbeda dari sebelumnya dan menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan belajar anak usia dini menjadikan kegiatan belajar mengajar lebih berkualitas. Oleh karena itu, ruang kelas yang ideal harus memperhatikan tata ruangnya yang dapat mempengaruhi kegiatan belajar mengajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi tata ruang kelas di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah dengan mengamati perilaku belajar anak – anak usia dini yang memasuki jenjang pendidikan sekolah tahap awal.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode gabungan, yaitu kuantitatif dengan pengukuran serta perbandingan antara standar yang berlaku dengan yang ada di lapangan dan kualitatif dengan melakukan pengamatan dan wawancara. Dari hasil analisa disimpulkan bahwa ada beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam penataan ruang kelas untuk anak usia dini di sekolah yang meliputiTata ruang kelas, tata letak perabot, standar ruang kelas, standar perabot ruang kelas, serta perilaku belajar anak usia dini di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Huda Kota Tangerang. Elemen yang paling dominan dalam membentuk tata ruang kelas yang baik untuk anak usia dini adalah tata ruang kelas dan tata letak perabot di dalam kelas.
