Abstract
Vertical housing or what is commonly called rusunami is one solution to overcome the problem of limited land which makes land prices expensive. This happened in DKI Jakarta. Flats are dwellings arranged vertically whose development is prioritized in locations above the former slum and the main target is the residents of the village itself, whose majority of the population is low income (Government Regulation No. 4/1998). This Low Cost With Community Housing Architectural Design intends to formulate a conceptual basis for how to design flats for low-income people with energy-efficient tropical and modern architecture. By not neglecting the lifestyle of these low-income people, most of whom are urbanized. Where these people still have a lifestyle like rural communities which generally emphasize friendship in their social interactions, this lifestyle is still attached even though they have moved life in the city. Keywords: Vertical Housing, Low Cost Housing, Design Concepts, Tropical Architecture, Modern Architecture, Energy Saving. Hunian vertikal atau yang biasa disebut rusunami merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi permasalah keterbatasan lahan yang membuat harga tanah menjadi mahal. Hal ini terjadi di DKI Jakarta. Rumah susun merupakan hunian yang disusun vertikal yang pembangunannya diprioritaskan pada lokasi di atas bekas kampung kumuh dan sasaran utamanya adalah penghuni kampung itu sendiri yang mayoritas penduduknya berpenghasilan rendah (Peraturan Pemerintah RI No 4/1998). Perancangan Arsitektur Low Cost With Community Housing ini bermaksud untuk menyusun landasan konseptual bagaimana perancangan rumah susun bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah dengan arsitektur tropis dan modern yang hemat energi. Dengan tidak mengesampingkan gaya hidup massyarakat berpenghasilan rendah ini yang sebagian besar merupakan masyarakat urbanisasi. Yang mana masyarakat ini masih memiliki gaya hidup seperti masyarakat desa yang pada umumnya menonjolkan keguyuban dalam interaksi sosialnya, gaya hidup ini masih melekat meski mereka sudah berpindah hidup di kota. Kata Kunci: Rusunami, Konsep Perancangan, Arsitektur Tropis, Arsitektur Modern, Hemat Energi.
