Abstract

The accident occurred on the experimental Interplane SRO Skyboy, N58784, October 11, 2011 because the modification of the vortex generator caused by the separation of boundary layers and stalls made the Boeing aircraft manufacturer, namely the Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) issue special rules regarding the limitation of the number of vortex generators must be attached to the aircraft wing which is written in the mandatory aircraft document, namely the Configuration Deviation List (CDL) that 1 side of a Boeing 737-800NG aircraft wing is only allowed to lose a maximum of 1 vortex generator from a total of 1 wing side, namely 8 vortex generators. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the aerodynamic effects that arise, such as differences in lift coefficient, drag coefficient, lift-drag ratio and air flow separation under normal conditions and reduced VG on one side of the Boeing 737-800NG aircraft with the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) testing method. using ANSYS software. In the test results, the wing which has an amount of 8 VG with AOA 0° and AOA 10°, respectively, has an increase in value with lift coefficient values of 10,114% and 9.054%, an increase in the drag coefficient of 6.60% and a decrease of 4.845%, an increase in lift-drag ratio 3, 38% and 14.56% compared to wings without VG. In the test results, the wing with AOA 0° and AOA 10°, the wing with 6 VG, respectively, has a decrease in lift coefficient value of 1.756% and 3.742%, a decrease in the value of the drag coefficient 0.879% and an increase of 0.181% compared to a wing with 8 VG. The airflow on the wing with VG is more streamlined than the wing with VG which shows separation of airflow. Keywords: Boeing 737-800 Next Generation, vortex generator, coefficient lift, coefficient drag, Computational fluid dynamics Kecelakaan terjadi pada pesawat Experimental Interplane SRO Skyboy, N58784, 11 Oktober 2011 karena modifikasi vortex generator yang di akibatkan oleh separasi boundary layer dan stall membuat paberikan Pesawat Boeing yaitu Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) mengeluarkan aturan khusus terkait limitasi jumlah vortex generator yang harus terpasang pada sayap pesawat yang tertulis dalam dokumen wajib pesawat yaitu Configuration Deviation List (CDL) bahwa 1 sisi sayap pesawat Boeing 737-800NG hanya diperbolehkan maksimal kehilangan 1 vortex generator dari jumlah total 1 sisi sayap yaitu 8 buah vortex generator. Tujuan pada analisis ini mengetahui efek aerodinamika yang di timbulkan seperti, perbedaan koefisien lift, koefisien drag, lift-drag ratio dan separasi aliran udara pada keadaan normal dan berkurangnya VG pada satu sisi sayap pesawat Boeing 737-800NG dengan metode pengujian Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) menggunakan software ANSYS. Pada hasil pengujian sayap yang memiliki jumlah 8 VG dengan AOA 0° dan AOA 10° beturut-turut memiliki peningkatan nilai dengan nilai koefisien lift 10,114% dan 9,054%, peningkatan koefisien drag 6,60% dan penurunan 4,845%, peningkatan lift-drag ratio 3,38% dan 14,56% dibandingkan sayap tanpa VG. Pada hasil pengujian sayap dengan AOA 0° dan AOA 10° sayap dengan 6 VG berturut-turut memiliki penurunan nilai koefisien lift 1,756% dan 3,742%, penurunan nilai koefisien drag 0,879% dan kenaikan 0,181% dibandingkan dengan sayap dengan 8 VG. Aliran udara pada sayap dengan VG lebih streamline dibandingkan sayap dengan VG yang terlihat separasi aliran udara.
