Abstract

This research discusses the stress analysis that occurs due to the load received by the pipe in the Heating Medium Circulating Pump piping system to the Hot Oiled Fired Heater. This process is carried out to heat the oil. In operation, this system uses pipe material CS A 106 B with a density oil fluid of 972 kg / m3 . The piping system is designed with a pressure of 8.98 kg / cm2 and a temperature of 232.22 o C. Therefore, it causes loads that result in stress. This discussion will be described systematically based on manual calculations using the simple beam formula referring to the hooke law which is then compared with the calculation results using CAESAR II software as an empirical review. The comparison results are validated with the allowable stress standard based on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code B31.3 for Process Piping. The result of manual calculation of Longitudinal stress is = 58819,7091 kN / m2 Tangential stress is 10958,1181 kN / m2 , and stress on Sustain Load is 42284.20684 kN / m2 . This result does not exceed the allowable stress based on ASME Code B31.3 which is worth 134106.0 kN / m2 . So that the piping system can be said to be safe to operate. Keyword: Piping, CAESAR II Software, Pipe Support, ASME Code B31.3, Stress Calculation, Stress Analysis Penelitian ini membahas mengenai analisis tegangan yang muncul akibat beban yang diterima oleh pipa pada sistem pemipaan Heating Medium Circulating Pump menuju Hot Oiled Fired Heater. Proses tersebut dilakukan untuk memanaskan oli. Dalam pengoperasiannya, sistem ini menggunakan material pipa CS A 106 B dengan fluida oli bermassa jenis 972 kg/m3 . Pada sistem pemipaan ini didesain dengan tekanan sebesar 8,98 kg/cm2 dan temperatur sebesar 232,22 o C. Oleh karena itu menimbulkan beban-beban yang mengakibatkan terjadinya tegangan. Pembahasan ini akan dijelaskan secara sistematis berdasarkan perhitungan manual menggunakan simple beam formula merujuk pada hokum hooke yang kemudian dibandingkan dengan hasil perhitungan menggunakan software CAESAR II sebagai tinjauan empiris. Hasil perbandingan divalidasi dengan standar tegangan yang diijinkan (allowable stress) berdasarkan American Society of Mechanical Engineer (ASME) kode B31.3 untuk Process Piping. Didapatkan hasil perhitungan manual tegangan Longitudinal sebesar = , tegangan Tangensial sebesar , dan tegangan pada pembebanan Sustain Load sebesar Hasil tersebut tidak melebihi allowable stress berdasarkan ASME Code B31.3 yang bernilai 134106.0 kN/m2 .
