Abstract

As the increasing population of motor vehicles causes an increase in consumption of fossil fuels, to overcome this problem the YAMAHA MIO J motor fuel is converted into LPG gas fuel. For performance on the gasoline engine decreases. This decrease in performance is due to differences in ignition characteristics. One way to improve the performance of LPG gas-powered motors is to modify the intake manifold from a single injector to a double injector. The research method carried out in this study is an experimental method that can provide an overview of the results of the torque and power test on a single injector and double injector. The results of a comparative study of torque and power of a single injector and a double injector show data are more effective using a double injector at 6500 (RPM) where, torque data on a single 3.7 N.m and double data of 7.2 N.m while for a single injector power data of 3.37 HP and data injector double 6.56 HP. Visible comparison of power and torque of single and double injectors are more effective using double injectors. This is due to the lack of fuel consumption that is sprayed by a single injector into the combustion chamber. Keywords : Save fuel, BBG motorcycle, injector, modification, combustion motorcycle, LPG. Seiring bertambahnya populasi kendaraan bermotor menyebabkan meningkatnya konsumsi bahan bakar fosil, untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut bahan bakar motor YAMAHA MIO J diubah menjadi bahan bakar gas LPG. Untuk kinerja pada mesin bensin menurun. Penurunan unjuk kinerja motor ini disebabkan oleh adanya perbedaan karakteristik penyalaan. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan unjuk kerja dari motor berbahan bakar gas LPG adalah dengan memodifikasi intake manifold dari single injektor menjadi double injektor. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen yang dapat memberikan gambaran hasil uji torsi dan daya terhadap single injektor dan double injektor. Hasil penelitian perbandingan torsi dan daya single injektor dan double injektor menunjukan data lebih efektif menggunakan double injektor pada 6500 (RPM) dimana, data torsi pada single 3,7 N.m dan data double 7,2 N.m sedangkan untuk data daya single injektor 3,37 HP dan data double injektor 6,56 HP. Terlihat perbandingan daya dan torsi single dan double injektor lebih efektif menggunakan double injektor. Hal ini disebabkan karena kurangnya konsumsi bahan bakar yang disemprotkan oleh single injektor ke dalam ruang bakar. Kata Kunci : Hemat BBM, motor BBG, injektor, modifikasi, motor bakar, LPG.
