Abstract

When a diesel engine is removed from a unit or a new diesel engine is used for dynometer testing, the diesel engine is separated by an interface unit that functions as a monitor and security system. So we need a tool to monitor and security systems during the dynometer test. This study discusses a prototype tool that allows conventional series diesel engines to be able to detect temperature and security systems using microcontroller technology and an android smartphone. The aim is to monitor whether or not the temperature is normal and provide security if the temperature exceeds the normal limit. The system designed can run according to the initial concept. IoT platform based temperature and security monitoring system, can make prototype devices connected to the Android application. This prototype gives a warning when reading the temperature value is at a value of 94 ° C to 100 ° C, and the safety system works when the temperature value is at a value above 100 ° C. The resulting temperature error is 0.001 ° C with an average delay of 2.2 seconds. So that the performance of the monitoring and security system is included in both categories (error temperature and delay between tools and android applications). Key Word : IoT (Internet of Things), Wemos Microcontroller, DS18B20 Temperature Sensor Ketika mesin diesel dilepas dari sebuah unit atau adanya mesin diesel baru untuk dilakukan tes dynometer, maka mesin diesel terpisah oleh unit interface yang fungsinya sebagai alat monitor dan sistem keamanan. Jadi dibutuhkanlah alat untuk memonitor dan sistem keamanan pada saat tes dynometer. Penelitian ini membahas sebuah alat prototipe yang memungkinkan mesin diesel seri konvensional untuk dapat mendeteksi suhu dan sistem keamanan menggunakan teknologi mikrokontroler dan smartphone android. Tujuannya adalah untuk memonitor normal atau tidaknya suhu tersebut dan memberikan keamanan jika suhu melebihi batas normal. Sistem yang dirancang dapat berjalan sesuai konsep awal. Sistem monitoring suhu dan keamanan berbasis platform IoT, dapat membuat prototipe alat tersambung dengan aplikasi android. Prototipe alat ini memberi sebuah peringatan ketika pembacaan nilai suhu berada pada nilai 94°C sampai 100°C, dan sistem keamanan bekerja ketika nilai suhu berada pada nilai diatas 100°C. Hasil eror suhu adalah 0.001°C dengan delay rata-rata 2.2 detik. Sehingga performa sistem monitoring dan keamanan ini termasuk dalam kategori baik (eror suhu dan delay antara alat dan aplikasi android).
