Abstract

The development of science is increasingly developing followed by patterns of life that also changes. The library is a room facility deliberately provided to meet the needs of reading with a wide selection of rows of books. The operation of the library should not only prioritize the availability of books and information. But also must pay attention to all the visitors who come. Therefore the Interior Design of the General Library of the City of Jakarta based on Universal Design Principles is a goal so that all visitors who come feel comfortable when visiting the library. The design method used includes the classification analysis and continues with the method for the proposed design solution. By using universal design parameters based on universal design principles, the factors of applying universal design can be classified to identify problems and design solutions are provided to maximize the application of universal design. The research method used is a qualitative research method, which is a case study research approach, the study also analyzes aspects of interior elements, namely the area of the floor, walls, ceilings, lighting, ventilation and circulation. The expected results of the design of the interior design of the Jakarta Public Library are as an educational tool that can be accessed by all members of the community, so that reading interest can be created without recognizing differences and it will be more interesting if the library space is designed by applying local content culture, namely Betawi in it which refers in the current or present era, it can be seen from the Indonesian people who are starting to become aware of design and technology. So the design that is applied must be in accordance with the trends that are developing and popular at this time. Keywords : Library, Universal Design, Betawi Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan kian berkembang diikuti dengan pola kehidupan yang juga berubah. Perpustakaan merupakan suatu fasilitas ruang yang sengaja disediakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan membaca dengan berbagai pilihan deretan buku. Penyelenggaraan perpustakaan seharusnya tidak hanya mementingkan ketersediaan buku dan informasi saja. Tetapi juga harus memperhatikan semua kalangan pengunjung yang datang. Maka dari itu Perancangan Interior Perpusatakaan Umum Kota Jakarta Berdasrkan Prinsip Desain Universal menjadi tujuan agar semua kalang pengunjung yang datang merasa nyaman ketika berkunjung ke perpustakaan. Metode desain yang digunakan meliputi analisis pengklasifikasian dan berlanjut dengan metode untuk usulan solusi desain. Dengan menggunakan parameter desain universal berdasarkan prinsip desain universal, maka faktor faktor penerapan desain universal dapat diklasifikasikan untuk mengetahui permasalahan dan diberikan solusi desain untuk memaksimalkan penerapapan desain universal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif, yang merupakan suatu penelitian pendekatan studi kasus, Penelitian juga menganalisis aspek elemen interior, yaitu area lantai, dinding, plafon, pencahayaan, penghawaan dan sirkulasi. Hasil yang diharapkan dari perancangan desain interior Perpustakaan Umum Kota Jakarta adalah sebagai sarana edukasi yang dapat diakses oleh seluruh kalangan masyarakat, sehingga dapat tercipta minat baca tanpa mengenal perbedaan dan akan lebih menarik jika ruang perpustakaan didesain dengan menerapkan budaya local kontennya yaitu Betawi di dalamnya yang mengacu pada era saat ini atau kekinian, terlihat dari masyarakat Indonesia yang mulai sadar akan desain dan teknologi. Jadi desain yang diterapkan harus sesuai dengan tren yang sedang berkembang dan popular pada saat ini. Kata kunci : Perpustakaan, Desain Universal , Betawi
