Abstract

The Directorate of Aircraft Airworthiness and Operation has an internet network as a facility provided for work needs. Every Staff can use the internet in the area of the Directorate of Aircraft and Aircraft Operation. Internet speed is determined by bandwidth availability with many users accessing the internet network. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of bandwidth usage, traffic volume, traffic intensity, and grade of service (GoS). The software used in this study is Networx which is useful for knowing the amount of bandwidth usage then the results are calculated using the Erlang algorithm. Grade of Service value obtained is equal to 0.158%. The Grade of Service value is very good, because the smaller the value obtained, the less chance of access failure. Key words: Volume of Traffic, Traffic Intensity, Erlang Algorithm, Grade of Service Direktorat Kelaikudaraan dan Pengoperasian Pesawat Udara memiliki jaringan internet sebagai fasilitas yang disediakan untuk kebutuhan pekerjaan. Setiap Staff bisa menggunakan internet di area Direktorat Kelaikudaraan dan Pengoperasian Pesawat Udara. Kecepatan internet ditentukan oleh ketersediaan bandwidth dengan banyaknya pengguna yang mengakses jaringan internet. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui jumlah penggunaan bandwidth, volume traffic, intensitas traffic, dan grade of service (GoS). Software yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Networx yang berguna untuk mengetahui jumlah penggunaan bandwidth kemudian hasilnya dihitung dengan algoritma Erlang. Nilai Grade of Service yang didapatkan yaitu sebesar 0,158 %. Nilai Grade of Service tersebut sangat baik, karena semakin kecil nilai yang didapatkan maka kemungkinan terjadinya kegagalan akses sangat kecil.
