Abstract

Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) itself is a foam with good flexibility, high elasticity like rubber, commonly used by IKM (Small and Medium Industries) as a material used in the midsole and outsole in footwear, such as sandals and shoes. Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) has a different type of thickness (Sponge EVA 3mm, Sponge EVA 5mm, Sponge EVA 6mm) and not many know the material of Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) can be used as material for making in modeling. Equipment used to make modeling made with tools on cutting techniques, and connect to Sponge material EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) Like, a knife or cutter to make slices on Sponge material EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), an adhesive used to connect or unite material Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) for modeling, and a ruler to measure the modeling that will be made. The use of these equipment is tailored to their respective functions. Key Words : Material, Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), cutting and connecting tools / techniques, modeling Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) itu sendiri adalah sebuah busa dengan fleksibilitas yang baik, elastisitas tinggi seperti karet, biasa digunakan oleh IKM (Industri Kecil Menengah) sebagai material yang digunakan pada bagian midsole maupun outsole pada alas kaki, seperti sandal maupun sepatu. Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) mempunyai jenis ketebalan yang berbeda (Sponge EVA 3mm, Sponge EVA 5mm, Sponge EVA 6mm) dan belum banyak yang mengetahui material dari Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) ini dapat dijadikan bahan pembuatan pada modeling. Peralatan yang dipakai untuk membuat modeling yang dibuat dengan alat pada teknik potong, dan sambung pada material Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) Seperti, pisau atau cutter untuk membuat irisan pada material Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), perekat digunakan untuk menyambungkan atau menyatukan material Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) untuk membuat modeling, dan penggaris untuk mengukur modeling yang akan dibuat. Penggunaan peralatan tersebut disesuaikan dengan fungsinya masing-masing. Kata Kunci : Material, Sponge EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), alat / teknik potong dan sambung, modeling
