Abstract

The mosque is a place of worship for Muslims, where currently the function of the mosque is increasingly diverse. The mosque is currently not only functioned as a place of worship, but for various other activities. Like general studies, the place to study and teach the Qur'an, Islamic libraries and galleries. Like one of the largest mosques in the city of Tangerang, namely the Grand Mosque of Al-Azhom, which has a variety of activities in it. Islamic study rooms and galleries are one of the rooms in the Al-Azhom Grand Mosque that require adequate lighting to support the activities inside. This is a factor that needs optimization in lighting according to SNI standards. This study aims to determine the results of natural and artificial lighting levels at the Al-Azhom Grand Mosque, Tangerang City. So that it can provide advice or recommendations to improve the quality of room lighting in the room. The research method is carried out in a descriptive manner with a quantitative approach, where the results of observations and measurements are described and linked in relation to the results obtained with existing standards. Based on the results of lighting intensity measurements carried out in the study room and the Islamic gallery of the Al-Azhom Grand Mosque, the results of measurements were varied, 9 lux - 64 lux in natural lighting and 19 lux - 148 lux in artificial lighting. This shows that natural and artificial lighting in the study room and the Islamic gallery of the Al-Azhom Great Mosque have not met SNI recommended standards, namely 350 lux. Keywords: Lighting, Al-Azhom Grand Mosque, study room and Islamic gallery Masjid merupakan tempat ibadah umat Islam, dimana saat ini fungsi masjid semakin beragam. Masjid saat ini tidak hanya difungsikan untuk tempat ibadah saja, namun untuk berbagai aktifitas lainya. Seperti kajian umum, tempat belajar dan mengajar Al-Qur’an, perpustakaan dan galeri islam. Seperti salah satu Masjid terbesar di Kota Tangerang yaitu Masjid Raya Al-Azhom, yang memiliki berbagai macam aktifitas didalamnya. Ruang belajar dan galeri islam merupakan salah satu ruangan dalam Masjid Raya Al-Azhom yang memerlukan pencahayaan yang memadai untuk mendukung aktifitas didalamnya. Hal inilah yang menjadi faktor perlunya pengoptimalan dalam pencahyaan sesuai standart SNI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil tingkat pencahayaan alami dan buatan pada Masjid Raya Al-Azhom, Kota Tangerang. Sehingga dapat memberikan saran atau rekomondasi untuk memperbaiki kualitas pencahayaan ruangan pada ruangan tersebut. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan cara deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dimana hasil dari observasi dan pengukuran dideskripsikan dan dihubungkan keterkaitannya dari hasil yang diperoleh dengan standart yang ada. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran intensitas pencahayaan yang dilakukan pada ruang belajar dan galeri islam Masjid Raya Al-Azhom, memiliki hasil pegukuran yang bervariasi, 9 lux – 64 lux pada pencahayaan alami dan 19 lux – 148 lux pada pencahayaan buatan. Hal ini menunjukkan pencahayaan alami maupun buatan pada ruang belajar dan galeri islam Masjid Raya Al-Azhom tersebut belum memenuhi standar yang direkomendasikan SNI yaitu 350 lux.
