Abstract

Gadget is the development of the electronic phone. User gadget no longer adult but has now entered among adolescents to adults. Many positive benefits which can be obtained from the use of the gadget itself, but the use of gadgets in (sustainable) will be bad for the children in particular patterns of behavior in her everyday. The making of a book illustration education aims to deliver a message and information through the medium of a book illustration as a medium in the delivery of a message in order to draw the attention of the target, namely early childhood like elementary school students. The concept of book illustration is an edutainment where a merger between education (learning) and entertainment (Entertainment). The concept of this series is packed to make the child will feel more fun, so each child hardly realize that they are actually being invited to learn and understand the material given in the book illustrations. The book is expected to give a more knowledge and information to target in particular children, in order not easily use the gadget in excess without any information obtained, as well as reducing affected by mobile or gadget itself. Key Word: book illustration, educational book, children's book, mobile phone Gadget merupakan perkembangan dari pesawat elektronik telepon. Pengguna gadget tidak lagi orang dewasa namun sekarang sudah memasuki kalangan remaja hingga dewasa. Banyak manfaat positif yang dapat diperoleh dari penggunaan gadget itu sendiri, namun penggunaan gadget secara continue (berkelanjutan) akan berdampak buruk bagi pola perilaku khususnya anak dalam kesehariannya. Pembuatan sebuah buku ilustrasi edukasi ini bertujuan untuk dan menyampaikan sebuah pesan informasi melalui media buku ilustrasi sebagai media dalam penyampaian pesan agar menarik perhatian target yaitu anak usia dini seperti siswa/I sekolah dasar. Konsep dari buku ilustrasi ini bersifat edutainment yang dimana penggabungan antara education (pembelajaran) dan entertainment (hiburan). Konsep edutainment ini dikemas untuk membuat anak akan lebih merasa menyenangkan, sehingga tiap anak hampir tidak menyadari bahwa mereka sebenarnya sedang diajak untuk belajar dan memahami materi yang diberikan dalam buku ilustrasi tersebut. Buku ini diharapkan dapat memberikan sebuah pengetahuan dan informasi lebih kepada target khususnya anak-anak, agar tidak dengan mudah menggunakan gadget secara berlebihan tanpa adanya informasi yang didapat, serta mengurangi terkenanya dampak dari handphone atau gadget itu sendiri.
