Abstract

PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk. is a state-owned company engaged in steel production. One of the fields in PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk. which guarantees product quality is the Coke Oven Plant Laboratory. Quality Control Management ask some officers of the Coke Oven Plant Laboratory to go to the General Facilities Laboratory to fill in the blanks at the Laboratory. To find out if there is anything that can be transferred to the General Facilities Laboratory, Quality Control Management asks to do a workload analysis, so it is necessary to calculate the workload to find out workload of operator in the Coke Oven Plant Laboratory. This study aims to find out the optimal workload and number of employees at the Coke Oven Plant Laboratory and find out the number of operators that can be transferred to the General Facilities Laboratory using the work sampling method. From the results of data processing obtained by the average labor load in the Coke Oven Plant Laboratory amounting to 96.69%, with the number of operators required based on standard time is 20 people. From these results it can be concluded that the operator that can be transferred to the General Facilities Laboratory is 2 people. Keywords: Workload, Manpower, Sampling Work PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk. merupakan BUMN yang bergerak di bidang produksi baja. Salah satu bidang yang terdapat pada PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk. yang menjamin kualitas produk adalah Laboratorium Coke Oven Plant. Pihak manajemen Quality Control ingin memindahkan beberapa personil Laboratorium Coke Oven Plant ke Laboratorium General Facilities untuk mengisi kekosongan di Laboratorium tersebut. Untuk mengetahui apakah ada personil yang dapat dipindahkan ke Laboratorium General Facilities, Pihak Manajemen Quality Control meminta untuk melakukan perhitungan beban kerja, sehingga perlu dilakukan perhitungan beban kerja untuk mengetahui seberapa besar beban kerja operator di Laboratorium Coke Oven Plant. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui beban kerja dan jumlah karyawan optimal di Laboratorium Coke Oven Plant serta mengetahui jumlah operator yang dapat dipindahkan ke Laboratorium General Facilities dengan menggunakan metode work sampling. Dari hasil pengolahan data diperoleh bahwa rata-rata bebak kerja operator di Laboratorium Coke Oven Plant sebesar 96.69%, dengan jumlah operator yang dibutuhkan berdasarkan waktu baku adalah 20 orang. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa operator yang dapat dipindahkan ke Laboratorium General Facilities adalah 2 orang. Kata kunci: Beban Kerja, Jumlah Tenaga Kerja, Work Sampling
