Abstract
This study was examine the effect of grit and job crafting to work engagement. Total sample is 450 among generation Y worker who born in 1980- 2000 and work in Jakarta were taken by purposive sampling technique. The entire measuring instruments used in this study using Likert scale models. Measuring instruments used in this study is the Utrecht Work Engagement 9 Scale to measure work engagement, Grit 12 Scale to measure grit, and Job Crafting Scale to measure job crafting. To test our hypothesis using linearity test and multiple regression on SPSS 20.0 on windows. The results shows tha grit give an effect as much as 0.36 and 0.29 from job crafting to the work engagement. The result of RSquare of 0.474, shows tha grit and job crafting give 47.4% influence on work engagement. Based on this study, grit and job crafting are considered to be atecedents of work engagement. Keywords : Grit, Job Crafting, and Work Engagement. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh grit dan job crafting terhadap work engagement pada pekerja generasi Y di Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada pekerja generasi Y yang lahir pada tahun 1980-2000 berusia yang bekerja di wilayah DKI Jakarta dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 450 orang yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Seluruh alat ukur yang digunakan mengguanakn skala model Likert. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Utrecht Work Engagement 9 Scale untuk mengukur work engagement, Grit 12 Scale untk mengukur grit, and Job Crafting Scale to untuk mengukur job crafting. Analisis liniear sederhana dan analisis regresi berganda pada software SPSSS 20.0 for windows digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa grit memberika pengaruh sebesar 0.36 dann job crafting memberikan pengaruh sebesar 0.29 terhadap work engagement. Hasil Rsquare sebesar 0,474, memperlihatkan bahwa grit dan job crafting memberikan pengaruh sebesar 47,4% terhadap work engagement. Berdasarkan penelitian, grit dan job crafting dapat menjadi anteseden dari work engagement. Kata kunci Grit, Job Crafting, dan Work Engagement
