Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of emotional intelligence on self-acceptance of beneficiaries in the PSKW Mulya Jaya Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with linear regression analysis techniques. In this study total sampling technique was used, with a sample of 57 beneficiaries. Researchers used the concept of Goleman (2015) to measure emotional intelligence and the concept of Berger (1952) to measure self-acceptance. Researchers found a significant positive effect of emotional intelligence on self-acceptance of beneficiaries with a R2 value of 0.456. Based on 5 dimensions of emotional intelligence, it is known that “Managing One’s Emotion” becomes the emotional intelligence’s dimension which have the greatest correlation coefficient on the dimensions of self-acceptance. The results of this study are very useful in determining the interventions used to improve emotional intelligence and selfacceptance optimally in the prostitute’s environment Keywords: self-acceptance, emotional intelligence, prostitute, beneficiary Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap penerimaan diri penerima manfaat di PSKW Mulya Jaya Jakarta. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik regresi. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan teknik pengambilan sampel sampling jenuh, dengan jumlah sample 57 orang penerima manfaat. Peneliti menggunakan konsep dari Goleman (2015) untuk mengukur kecerdasan emosional dan konsep Berger (1952) untuk mengukur penerimaan diri. Peneliti menemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signfikan dari kecerdasan emosional terhadap penerimaan diri penerima manfaat dengan nilai R2 sebesar 0,456. Dari 5 dimensi kecerdasan emosional, diketahui mengelola emosi menjadi dimensi kecerdasan emosional yang memiliki koefisien korelasi paling besar terhadap dimensi penerimaan diri. Hasil dari penelitian ini sangat berguna sebagai landasan untuk menentukan intervensi apa yang harus digunakan dalam membantu bagaimana cara optimal meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional dan penerimaan diri dalam dunia pekerja seks komersial.
