Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of debt policy, dividend policy, and company growth on firm value with profitability as intervening variable in finance companies. The population of this study are all finance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015 until the year 2016. The purposive sampling method is used in this study, in which the finance companies included in the sample are those listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange both in 2015 and 2016. From a population of 15 finance companies, 12 finance companies are met the criteria. The data used is financial data which was available at Indonesian Stock Exchange website. Processing data using path analysis technique, this study works with two equations that include factors affecting firm value and factors affecting profitability. This study finds that, debt policy and company growth affects the firm value and profitability significantly. Meanwhile dividend policy and profitability do not affect the firm value significantly. Simultaneously, profitability not able to be an intervening variable among exogenous and endogenous variable. Keywords : Debt to Equity Ratio, Dividend Payout Ratio, Asset Growth, Return on Equity, Price to Book Value. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh kebijakan hutang, kebijakan dividen, dan pertumbuhan perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan profitabilitas sebagai variabel intervening pada perusahaan pembiayaan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan pembiayaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2016. Metode penentuan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Dari populasi 15 perusahaan pembiayaan, 12 perusahaan pembiayaan memenuhi kriteria untuk menjadi sampel. Jenis data dalam penelitian adalah data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari www.idx.co.id. Masalah penelitian dan pengajuan hipotesis penelitian telah terjawab dengan menggunakan teknik analisis jalur (path analysis) dengan alat bantu aplikasi SPSS versi 21.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, kebijakan hutang dan pertumbuhan perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan dan berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas. Sementara kebijakan dividen tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan dan profitabilitas. Secara bersamaan, profitabilitas tidak mampu menjadi variabel intervening antara variabel kebijakan hutang, kebijakan dividen, dan pertumbuhan perusahaan dengan nilai perusahaan.
