Abstract

In this modern age, humans have been facilitated by the technologies that are used to help daily activities. As technology develops, the optical world also develops. PT. OPTIK TUNGGAL SEMPURNA is developing in its production and always developing new products to meet customer desires. The technology used in the manufacture of eye glass lenses does not always guarantee that the quality produced is 100% perfect, there must be failure. This failure will later be projected, there are 3 (three) types of reject defects in the lens, 1) Base defects, 2) Improper power, 3) Berets in cc. The type of defect which has the largest number is defect base. So, in this study focused on finding out the factors that cause lens rejects, and giving an improvement to the company to reduce the number of reject lenses, the method used in this study is Six Sigma. The results showed that, (1) the highest reject contributor was base defect with a percentage of 50.55%. (2) from the causal diagram analysis, there were 3 causes of base defects, namely: Operator technical capabilities that need to be developed, Production machines that need maintenance, Material Quality does not meet the standards. . Proposed improvements that can be given to the company include: The ability of the operator's technician to be developed, the need for training on polishing machines, with the training if one day there is damage to the machine, it is expected that the operator can overcome the damage to the machine, the Perawtan and checking are carried out routine before the production process, so that the machine can work as it should, the need to check the material to match the type of lens to be processed, so that there is no longer an index error in the material Kata Kunci : Reject lensa, Kualitas produk, Six sigma Di zaman yang modern ini, manusia telah dipermudah dengan adanya teknologi-teknologi yang di gunakan untuk membantu kegiatan sehari – hari. Seiring perkembangan teknologi, berkembang pula dunia optik. PT. OPTIK TUNGGAL SEMPURNA sedang berkembang dalam produksinya dan selalu mengembangkan produk – produk baru untuk memenuhi keinginan pelanggan. Teknologi yang digunakan dalam pembuatan lensa kaca mata tidak selalu menjamin bahwa kualitas yang dihasilkan 100% sempurna, pasti ada kegagalan. Kegagalan ini yang nantinya akan diriject, ada 3 (tiga) jenis kecacatan reject pada lensa,1) Cacat base, 2) Power tidak tepat, 3) Baret dalam cc. Jenis cacat yang memiliki jumlah terbesar yaitu cacat base. Sehingga, pada penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengetahui fakto-faktor penyebab reject lensa, dan memberikan ususalan perbaikan kepada perusahaan untuk menurunkan jumlah reject lensa, Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Six sigma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) penyumbang reject tertinggi adalah cacat base dengan persentase 50,55%. (2) dari analisa diagram sebab akibat didapatkan 3 penyebab timbulnya cacat base, yaitu: Kemampuan teknis operator yang perlu dikembangkan, Mesin produksi yang butuh perawatan, Kualitas Material tidak memenuhi standart. . Usulan perbaikan yang dapat diberikan kepada perusahaan, antara lain: Kemampuan teknisi operator harus dikembangkan, Perlunya pelatihan mengenai mesin – mesin poles, dengan adanya pelatihan bila suatu saat terjadi kerusakan pada mesin, diharapkan operator bisa mengatasi kerusakan pada mesin tersebut, Perawtan dan pengecekan dilakukan secara rutin sebelum melakukan proses produksi, sehinga mesin dapat bekerja sebagai mana mestinya, Perlunya pengecekan pada material untuk mencocokan jenis lensa yang akan diproses, sehingga tidak ada lagi kesalahan indeks pada bahan.
