Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of liquidity, profitability, capital structure, claim costs and insurance premium income on stock returns on insurance companies in the insurance sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Research data is annual data for the 2013-2017 observation period obtained from the company's annual report. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. Of the population of 15 companies, 10 companies met the criteria as samples. The analysis method used in this study is to use the Random Effect panel data regression model with a R2 value of 44.46%. The results of the research show that claim burden has a negative effect and premium income has a positive effect on stock returns, while liquidity, profitability, and capital structure have no effect on stock returns. Premium income is a variable that has the greatest influence on stock returns. Keywords: liquidity, profitability, capital structure, claims expense, premium income, stock return. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh likuiditas, profitabilitas, struktur modal, beban klaim dan pendapatan premi asuransi terhadap return saham pada perusahaan Keuangan sektor asuransi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Data penelitian merupakan data tahunan untuk periode observasi tahun 2013-2017 yang diperoleh dari laporan tahunan perusahaan. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Dari populasi 15 perusahaan, 10 perusahaan memenuhi kriteria sebagai sampel. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi data panel menggunakan model Random Effect dengan nilai R2 sebesar 44,46%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beban klaim berpengaruh negatif dan pendapatan premi berpengaruh positif terhadap return saham, sedangkan likuiditas, profitabilitas, dan struktur modal tidak berpengaruh terhadap return saham. Pendapatan premi merupakan variabel yang paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap return saham. Kata Kunci: likuiditas, profitabilitas, struktur modal, beban klaim, pendapatan premi, Return saham.
