Abstract

This study aims to analyze social support and emotional intelligence of Psychology major final year students on Mercu Buana University. The subject of this research is psychology major final year students which amounts to 227 people. Determination sample use Slovin formula 10% so as obtain the number of samples as much 70 people. The research did by spreading questionaires to 70 respondents. Data analisis used in this research is statistic analisis in form multiple linear regression and using SPSS application version 21. After testing the three variables, the results obtained from the t test (Partial) social support variable t arithmetic 1,015 < t table 1.996 has no effect on the readiness to work and emotional intelligence variable t arithmetic 2,657> t table 1.996 affect the readiness to work, simultaneously social support and emotional intelligence affect the readiness to work on final year students of psychology program of Mercu Buana University was 0,142. Keywords: readiness to work, emotional Intelligence, social support Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dukungan sosial dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kesiapan untuk bekerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir program studi psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir program studi psikologi yang berjumlah 227 orang. Penentuan sampel menggunakan rumus Slovin 10% sehingga diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 70 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 70 responden. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik dalam bentuk uji linier berganda dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 21. Setelah dilakukan pengujian terdahap ketiga variabel maka diperoleh nilai hasil dari Uji t (Parsial) variabel dukungan sosial thitung1,015<ttabel 1,996 tidak berpengaruh pada kesiapan untuk bekerja dan variabel kecerdasan emosional thitung 2,657 > ttabel 1,996 berpengaruh pada kesiapan untuk bekerja, secara simultan dukungan sosial dan kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh terhadap kesiapan untuk bekerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir program studi psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana sebesar 0,142.
