Abstract

Museums other than recreational places useful as well as a means of education or as a place of learning and knowledge because there are many prehistoric relics that can be known in the museum. The museum according to the limits issued by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) is a fixed, non-profit, service-serving and developmental society, open to the public, obtaining, maintaining, linking and displaying artifacts of the human identity and environment for purpose of study, education and recreation. The Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics is designed to attract the public to visit and study the historical heritage of the museum by using modern facilities as a means of providing information and education that can be accepted by the community well. The design concept applied to the interior of art museum and ceramics with the theme "Modern Education And Ethnic Betawi”. It aims to preserve the surrounding culture and increase public awareness in order to preserve the relics of the works of ancient times. Keywords: Museum, Fine Arts and Ceramics, Modern Education, Ethnic Betawi Museum selain tempat rekreasi berguna juga sebagai sarana edukasi atau sebagai wadah tempat pembelajaran dan pengetahuan karena ada banyak peninggalan prasejarah yang dapat diketahui di dalam museum. Museum menurut batasan yang dikeluarkan oleh Intenasional Council of Museum (ICOM) adalah sebuah lembaga yang bersifat tetap, tidak mencari keuntungan, melayani masyarakat dan perkembangannya, terbuka untuk umum, memperoleh, merawat, menghubungkan dan memamerkan artefak-artefak perihal jati diri manusia dan lingkungannya untuk tujuan studi, pendidikan dan rekreasi. Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik dirancang untuk menarik minat masyarakat agar mengunjungi serta mempelajari peninggalan sejarah yang ada di museum dengan menggunakan fasilitas yang modern sebagai sarana pemberi informasi dan edukasi yang dapat diterima oleh masyarakat dengan baik. Konsep desain yang diterapkan pada interior museum seni rupa dan keramik dengan mengangkat tema, “Modern Education And Ethnic Betawi”. Hal ini bertujuan untuk melestarikan budaya sekitar dan meningkatkan kepedulian masyarakat agar dapat melestarikan peninggalan-peninggalan karya pada zaman dahulu.
