Abstract

Professional Practice is a course that must be taken by students as one of the requirements in completing the study of Strata One (S1). So it is expected to follow the practice of the profession of architecture students able to understand the relationship between architectural theory with its application on the job field. In order for students to gain insight and experience of planning and design that will be realized in a job project during the implementation of professional practice. The purpose of the practice of this profession is to 1) provide a picture of the real world of work to students as stock for the future. 2) To gain an opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in lectures to be applied in employment. 3) To be familiar with the actual implementation and design process. 4) To increase knowledge, skills, and understanding that can not be directly in the lecture. 5) Gain experience, observation and visual recognition directly about the conditions that exist in the field. 6) Comparing the theories gained during lectures with on-the-job practice. 7) To find out the usual problems in the field and the solution. 8) To gain knowledge and insight and experience in the process of building physical construction. . The results of the professional practice are 1) That in the process of work on a project in the field is necessary for good coordination between the owner, 2) During the construction work, it is absolutely necessary a supervision and controlling either by the owner, consultant or contractor itself no deviations or other obstacles are to be found within the project, 3) There is a need for regular review of the work plan in each job and others. Keywords: Practice profession, Project, world field Praktik Profesi merupakan mata kuliah yang harus ditempuh oleh mahasiswa sebagai salah satu persyaratan dalam menyelesaikan studi Strata Satu (S1). Sehingga diharapkan dengan mengikuti praktik profesi mahasiswa arsitektur mampu memahami hubungan antara teori arsitektur dengan penerapannya pada lapangan pekerjaan. Agar mahasiswa mendapatkan wawasan serta pengalaman mengenai perencanaan dan perancangan yang akan diwujudkan pada suatu proyek pekerjaan saat pelaksanaan praktik profesi. Maksud dari praktik profesi ini adalah untuk 1) memberikan gambaran dunia kerja yang sebenarnya kepada mahasiswa sebagai bekal untuk kemudian hari. 2) Untuk memperoleh kesempatan untuk menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan yang telah diperoleh dalam perkuliahan untuk diterapkan dalam lapangan kerja. 3) Agar mengenal pelaksanaan dan proses desain yang sebenarnya. 4) Untuk menambah pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pemahaman yang tidak di dapat langsung dalam perkuliahan. 5) Memperoleh pengalaman, pengamatan dan pengenalan visual secara langsung mengenai kondisi yang ada pada lapangan. 6) Membandingkan antara teori yang diperoleh selama perkuliahan dengan praktik kerja di lapangan. 7) Untuk mengetahui masalah-masalah yang biasa terjadi di lapangan berikut solusinya. 8) Untuk memperoleh pengetahuan dan wawasan serta pengalaman dalam proses pelaksanaan pembangunan fisik bangunan. . Hasil praktik profesi adalah 1) Bahwa dalam proses pekerjaan pada suatu proyek di lapangan sangat diperlukan adanya koordinasi yang baik antara pemilik, 2) Selama pekerjaan pembangunan, maka mutlak diperlukannya suatu pengawasan serta controlling baik itu oleh pihak pemilik, konsultan maupun dari kontraktor itu sendiri agar tidak terjadi penyimpangan-penyimpangan ataupun kendala lainnya di dalam proyek, 3) Perlu adanya peninjauan akan rencana kerja secara rutin dalam setiap pekerjaan dan lain-lain.
