Abstract
Indonesia is an archipelago country with various ethnic groups that have diverse regions. Variety of culture is the root of the formation of the character and identity of Indonesian society. Through cultural arts activities, the young generation is expected to inherit the social, historical, religious, and knowledge values of previous generations. Bandung is the largest metropolitan city in West Java province, as well as being the capital of the province. The city is located 140km southeast of Jakarta, and is the largest city in the southern part of Java Island. While the area of Bandung Raya (Metropolitan Region of Bandung) is the third largest metropolitan in Indonesia after Jabodetabek and Gerbangkertosusila. The purpose of this design is to design West Java Arts and Culture Center aims to accommodate the needs of artists to berekpresi with adequate facilities by considering the development of artistic and cultural creativity, spread the artistic and intellectual wealth, appreciation and documentation of art and creativity and friendly to the surrounding environment by applying Green Architecture. Keywords: Building Art and Culture Center, Design, and Green Architecture Indonesia merupakan sebuah negara kepulauan dengan berbagai suku bangsa yang mempunyai beraneka ragam daerah. Berbagai ragam budayadaerah tersebut merupakan akar terbentuknya karakter dan identitas masyarakat Indonesia. Melalui kegiatan seni budaya, generasi muda diharapkan dapat mewarisi nilai-nilai sosial, historis, religi, maupun pengetahuan dari generasi sebelumnya. Kota Bandung merupakan kota metropolitan terbesar di Provinsi Jawa Barat, sekaligus menjadi ibu kota provinsi tersebut. Kota ini terletak 140km sebelah tenggara Jakarta, dan merupakan kota terbesar di wilayah Pulau Jawa bagian selatan. Sedangkan wilayah Bandung Raya (Wilayah Metropolitan Bandung) merupakan metropolitan terbesar ketiga di Indonesia setelah Jabodetabek dan Gerbangkertosusila. Adapun maksud dari perancangan ini adalah merancang Gedung Pusat Seni dan Kebudayaan Jawa Barat bertujuan untuk mewadahi kebutuhan seniman untuk berekpresi dengan fasilitas yang memadai dengan mempertimbangkan perkembangan kreativitas kesenian dan kebudayaan,menyebarkan kekayaan artistik dan intelektual, apresiasi serta pendokumentasian kesenian dan kreativitas serta ramah terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya dengan menerapkan Green Architecture. Kata Kunci : Gedung Pusat Seni dan Kebudayaan, Perancangan, dan Arsitektur Hijau
