Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Capital Structure, Company Size, and Institutional Ownership to Quality of Earning. The population in this study is Manufacturing Companies of Consumer Goods Industry on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2013 until 2016 which consists of 42 companies. The sampling technique was purposive sampling method which results for 20 companies. The type of data used is secondary data taken with indirect observation method by accessing idx.co.id site and official website of each company. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis with tools of SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) 20. The results of this study indicate that the Capital Structure has a significant positive effect on earnings quality, and Company Size significant negative effect on the Quality of Profit. Meanwhile, Institutional Ownership has no significant effect on earnings quality. Keywords: Profit Quality, Capital Structure, Company Size, and Institutional Ownership. ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh Struktur Modal, Ukuran Perusahaan, dan Kepemilikan Institusional terhadap Kualitas Laba. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Perusahaan Manufaktur Industri Barang Konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) pada tahun 2013 hingga 2016 yang terdiri dari 42 perusahaan. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah metode purposive sampling yang diperoleh 20 perusahaan. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diambil dengan metode observasi tidak langsung dengan mengakses situs idx.co.id dan situs web resmi masing-masing perusahaan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda dengan alat SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) 20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Struktur Modal berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kualitas laba,dan Ukuran Perusahaan berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Kualitas Laba. Sedangkan, Kepemilikan Institusional tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas laba. Kata kunci: Kualitas Laba, Struktur Modal, Ukuran Perusahaan, dan Kepemilikan Institusional.
