Abstract

Greening is very important in human life. Plants are a wealth of biodiversity that provide the important ecosystem services, such as regulating the water flow and affecting the weather patterns. Plants also help regulate the amount of greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. As the development of technology nowadays, it is possible to make a technology in watering. The purposes of this research are to design and create a system that capable of doing a long range control to watch and monitor the plants using the application. The system was divided into two parts, namely soil moisture monitoring system at the plants and a long range control system for watering. This system used aplication telegram as a monitor of soil moisture values and controled the watering with arduino Uno as a device to read the value of soil moisture and gave the command to control the watering. Based on test results, watering the ground would work when there was input from the application to the device to transmit the soil moisture values and input to command controled plant watering.
