Abstract

ABSTRACT Deposit interest rate is one of the management of the bank funds the highest growth compared with the savings and current accounts. This is reasonable when viewed from the motive of the society is more due to open deposit interest rates. Therefore, a bank has a very large interest on the price of deposit rates. As the price of deposits, interest rates that exist in the economy fluctuates in accordance with the policies set by Bank Indonesia. Based on the information collected, this study aims to determine the effect of deposit interest rate fluctuations on net income of the bank. A number of banks from eleven of twenty-eight banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that as research samples for five years from 2004 until 2009. Data in this study using simple linear regression analysis. Results showed the deposit rate significantly influence earnings. This study uses Correlation Test, Test of Significance of Simultaneous, and test t. Statistics.
