Abstract

Penelitian ini mengambil pilihan situasi masa di Indonesia (1980 – 1990an) berelasi dengan sejarah pembungkaman karya seni di Indonesia, terutama selama pemerintahan Orde Baru. Pada masa Orde Baru, antara tahun 1970-an hingga 1990- an, banyak karya seni yang dicekal.Eksploitasi tubuh erotis perempuan dalam gambar stiker yang beredar di masyarakat salah satu media visual. Dalam hal ini, tubuh perempuan bukan saja menjadi sasaran eksperimen estetika. Proses komoditisasi tubuh perempuan yang menjadi milik publik ditampilkan dengan menonjolkan bentuk dari sisi-sisi keindahan perempuan secara terbuka. Ketika tubuh wanita mengalami pergeseran dari dunia private ke dunia publik maka terjadi pula pergeseran nilai citra perempuan tersebut. Apa yang direpresentasikan perempuan seperti halnya erotisme yang terjadi di masyarakat pada umumnya, ada kecenderungan dan pemujaan atas keindahan estetis tubuh perempuan dengan menampilkan sisi-sisi erotisme tubuh. Ini tentunya menjadi beragam representasi dengan sudut pandang patriarki dalam menggambarkan perempuan sebagai obyek seksual. Dalam mengungkap gambar, bahasan stiker ini menampilkan masalah secara tanda dan simbol kemudian dianalisa mengunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes , agar terungkap yang tersirat di balik peristiwa atau makna di balik gambar, dengan membangun signifikasi yaitu signifier (penanda), signified (petanda), dan sign (tanda), hingga terjadi perluasan makna menjadi makna baru denotatif dan konotatif. Dalam stiker, gambar visual muncul pada aspek rupa dasar dan bahasa tubuh perempuan, pengalihan objek gambar dilihat dari sudut budaya sehingga bisa terkadung menjadi makna mitos. Ketika mitos bersentuhan dengan konotasi maka akan muncul idiologi. Dengan tujuan memahami bagaimana ungkapan simbol- simbol perempuan pada masa itu dalam mengekspresikan tubuhya berelasi pemaknaan denotatif, konotatif dan makna mitos dalam situasi keerotisan dalam media gambar stiker.
